The lesson “Life Cycles of Animals and Humans: Babies to Adults” is part eight of a 42 part series on human development, the human body, health, and safety. This lesson teaches about growing from a baby, to a child, to an adult and uses animals and humans to show growth. This resource includes a lesson plan for the teacher on how to prepare beforehand, class-time content to facilitate learning, hands-on activities facilitating further learning, and a teacher assessment at the end. There is also an alternative activity offered. This lesson is designed for a group of young children between the ages of 6 and 8, and is the eighth physical development lesson in the CoreCurriculum, 6-8 years, Year One.
