Author Sarah Byrd

At Compassion, we hear the phrase 'Known, Loved and Protected' often.  We all care deeply for the children and youth we serve alongside our church partners.  The "known, Loved, and Protected" concept helps guide our day-to-day work, make big decisions and encompasses how we all want children and youth in our program to feel.  In order for these vulnerable young people to be known, loved and protected, we must work to truly see them and advocate on their behalf to those who are more powerful.  In this month's devotion, Sara Byrd shows us of how Jesus did this by taking us to the story of the woman who washed Jesus' feet with her tears.
