Scripture teaches that children should be cared for and protected, but did you know that it also celebrates giving children the freedom to play? Research has found that play is one of the primary ways that children learn. Sadly, when they are robbed of this opportunity and expected to take on adult responsibilities, children’s growth and health suffer. Read this devotional and consider the questions at the end as you reflect on God’s plan for children.
