The local churches must take lead in all the initiatives related to local resource mobilization. My role as a PF is to guide, support, and encourage them to fulfill their dreams. Thus also helps in enhancing local ownership and helps to eliminate the big brother mentality in the partnership between compassion and the Church.

I have learnt that the local churches need to be helped to understand the basics of their role in LRM. I have learnt that through using biblical reflections and practical examples this can help to cast a vision and show the value of the church’s mobilizing local resources for holistic child and youth development (HCD). This will help them to see how uniquely positioned they are in their community to do intentional Kingdom work for children, youth and their families. Through this module they can be inspired and challenged to envision next steps through building relational networks, mobilizing various resources, and planning and prioritizing resources toward their HCD ministry goals.
