A New Confidence

My realization is that I need to depend on God not on technical expertise and in a situation where I would otherwise have used own wisdom I need to pray more. Life can be complex without Gods guidance but trusting in God he makes the complex so simple. I pray that partnerships increasingly depend on God as their source of strength and cultivate values in conformity with his word.

Paul wants the members of the church to recognize their source of empowering, and they should be rooted in that source and to truly understand the key attribute of our Savior which is Love. Paul exalts God even as he prays for the Ephesians. It’s appropriate for us also to start with praise.

I have not stopped imagining how Paul would pray for the Church today. I think that he would pray that we know Christ - his power, his sufficiency; that we would be delivered from the 'fear of missing out' and trust fully in his sufficiency as the giver of life, the definer of purpose, and master of our destinies. He would pray that we would not be afraid and try to conform to the world but rather be transformed to change the world by Christ's power.
