In our partnership we wrestle not against physical forces but the world, the fresh and the devil. Spiritual interventions should focus on seeing that beneficiaries are delivered from these forces. In our approaches we need to constantly pray for beneficiaries and their families that their spiritual eyes are opened to receive the message of Christ. We also note that the challenges we encounter in partnership have their sources in all these facets, so our messages should always have a spiritual empowerment component.

It is empowering to know that we have been delivered from fear and from ignorance, because of what Christ has done. As members of Christ's body, we know who we are and whose we are - we are Christ's. Additionally, God has prepared us to lead people towards his purposes and to teach his Truth. We have the confidence to minister God's truth and the tools to do so. God's truth will set his people free from the forces of evil that keep them in fear, ignorance and bondage. I will use the opportunities I have through my role, to lead God's people towards his purposes in the world.

The churches that we minister to are faced with forces that may draw the people away from God, in my context these may include witchcraft, corruption and great need that cause people to compromise what they value and not see the love of Christ in its fullness. As I work with this church, God is delivering me from stereotypes and cultural differences to enable me bond with the people I serve and to love them.
