The lesson “Perseverance” teaches children social and self-awareness, as well as developing the Godly characteristic of perseverance in life when challenges are presented. The children will learn to define the word ‘perseverance’ and verbalize several times in life when perseverance is necessary. Each child will be able to describe the benefits of having perseverance and reliance on God. The lesson includes guided instructions for the teacher, including preparation, a script, and suggested activities to facilitate further learning in a fun and interactive manner. This lesson is designed for children between 9-11 years, and is the 37th lesson in the 2nd year Core Curriculum Set and part of the “Leadership Preparation” unit.
